The Anti-Corruption Commission (KPKONPI) is filing a lawsuit in court for confiscation of money and property from Krassimir Zhivkov for BGN 871 thousand, the institution announced. He is accused as a member of the Bobokovi brothers’ criminal group of importing hazardous waste into Bulgaria.

Sotir Tsatsarov’s commission claims ideal parts of properties in Sofia – two apartments, garages, a studio and a parking space, a two-storey house in Botevgrad, a plot of land in Pravets and a parking space in Pomorie.

Krassimir Zhivkov is a former Deputy Minister of Environment and Water, a former regional governor of Sofia and a former mayor of Pravets. He was arrested in late May and released shortly before the New Year. The case against him, the Bobokovi brothers and other members of the group is expected to begin soon in the Specialized Criminal Court.
