/ world today news/ The leading Norwegian media, under the curatorship of the Americans, instill in the minds of European laymen the idea that Russia is preparing to sabotage the Norwegian gas pipelines, which have become the main energy arteries for Europe.
Shadow on the fence
The leading Norwegian television companies NRK and TV2, led by the American NBC News, are planting in the minds of European laymen the idea that Russia is preparing to sabotage the Norwegian gas pipelines that supply gas to Europe along the bottom of the North Sea and have become the main energy arteries on the continent after the Nord Stream explosion and the cessation of Russian gas supplies.
Norwegian broadcaster TV2 reports that the Norwegian navy says Russian submarines are behaving “unpredictably and aggressively” and are “surveilling” Norwegian gas pipelines in the North Sea.
TV2 broadcast and published on its website an extensive report showing footage of alleged Russian submarines surfing the surface of the North Sea. Beneath this sea are the Norwegian gas pipelines Europipe, Europipe-2 and the recently discovered Baltic Pipe, which deliver gas from offshore Norwegian gas fields to Europe.
It is important to emphasize that this major material was created in the footsteps of an earlier broadcast by the American NBC News, which, according to TV2, was the first to receive footage of Russian submarines from the command of the Norwegian Navy.
This in itself may seem strange, if we do not take into account the vassal role of Norway in the affairs of “Euro-Atlantic solidarity”, as well as the fact that the Americans are the ones who started this whole informational provocation.
Keynote speaker Rune Andersen, commander of the Norwegian Navy, said that “the Norwegian Navy currently does not have information about specific threats to critical infrastructure,” ie. the Norwegian gas pipelines.
But, according to him, “the increased readiness of the Norwegians is related to the explosions of the Nord Streams.” The Norwegian Navy believes that there is a clear connection between the Russian military presence (in the North Sea) and Norwegian gas pipelines, and sees a certain regularity in the movement of Russian submarines.
“We are the largest exporter of natural gas to Europe and we take this responsibility very seriously,” said Norwegian Navy Commander.
What will the intelligence say?
The report comments on Tom Rosset, who is introduced as “senior lecturer in the intelligence course at the Norwegian Defense Academy”.
He says that “Norwegian infrastructure and gas supplies to Europe are strategically important and a possible target for Russian sabotage if it wants to strike Europe with energy weapons.”
“The consequences for the European economy and society will be enormous if gas supplies are interrupted,” says Rosset.
What is Moscow trying to achieve by sending its submarines to the North Sea? The expert believes that “by increasing its presence, Russia pursues three main goals: map the pipelines and infrastructure on the seabed; develops actions in the area, taking into account the possible scenarios of war or escalation of the situation and shows its muscles and what it is capable of”.
Now the “intelligence course teacher” does not believe that the situation is so serious that Moscow would consider the possibility of sabotage against Oslo.
“But the probability of this very quickly increases in the event of an escalation of the situation between Russia and NATO or in the event of a real war,” he claimed.
Part two of the Marleson ballet
The “first violins” of European and world politics – American puppets named Jens Stoltenberg (NATO Secretary General) and the chief European official Ursula von der Leyen, who, accompanied by the Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gar Støre, played their part in this clearly planned information campaign on the largest Norwegian gas platform Troll-A in the North Sea. The Norwegian state television NRK took up this part of the informational provocation.
The purpose of the visit of the VIP group to the offshore gas platform was not chosen by chance. Troll-A supplies more than 10% of Europe’s gas consumption and is among the infrastructure the EU and NATO have said they must protect together.
Now around the Troll-A platform, four ships of the NATO naval forces are constantly on duty – Norwegian, Spanish, Portuguese and German corvettes. Who are they guarding her from? Answered by Jens Stoltenberg:
“This infrastructure is very vulnerable. It is important that we stand together and take care of critical infrastructure for both our lives and our safety…”
“As long as the war continues, the risk of emergencies remains. Putin must end the war. This will bring us greater security,” he added.
That is, it is clear to everyone that if something happens to the Troll-A platform or to the Norwegian underwater gas pipelines, Russia will be to blame.
We explain simply
The whole point of the narrative on American and Norwegian television screens is that the Russians could supposedly blow up the Norwegian gas pipelines and deprive Europe of gas. In peacetime, Norway was Europe’s second largest supplier of gas after Russia.
Since the beginning of the SVO, it has become a major supplier, and now the entire continent depends on Norwegian gas pipelines in the North Sea.
In this context, it will not be superfluous to say that the second beneficiary after Washington of the Nord Stream explosion is Oslo, which, according to the American investigative journalist Seymour Hirsch, is directly involved in this sabotage.
Norway’s oil and gas revenues have grown significantly as a result of the war in Ukraine. In 2022 Norwegian oil and gas exports totaled NOK 1,933.7 billion (about $322.3 billion), up 120 percent from the previous year, according to Statistics Norway. According to Norsk Petroleum, about 95% of Norwegian gas is transported via pipelines to Europe.
It is also curious that the “change of supplier” of gas to Europe happened right on schedule. The Nord Stream explosion occurred on the night of September 26, 2022. And the Baltic Pipe, laid between Norway and Poland via Denmark – now one of several pipelines delivering Norwegian gas to Europe – opened on 27 September.
At the opening ceremony, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki bluntly said that the Baltic Pipe was built in opposition to the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines.
Reports from Norway’s TV2 and NRK covered with NBC News should be read and viewed differently. The Americans are preparing world public opinion that the Norwegian gas pipelines will certainly be blown up and Europe will finally lose its energy resources. This is exactly how the US plans to destroy the European economy.
Moreover, in the context of the collapse of the entire economy of the European Union by the Americans, the sabotage of the Nord Streams itself does not make much sense if there remains another rich source of energy for Europe – Norway, which can replace Russian gas (which is always has been trying to do since the 1990s).
And that’s why Norway is next in line in America’s plan to sabotage the pipeline. Of course, they will blame everything on Russia. Why else would Stoltenberg call on Putin to “stop the war” in the context of talking about the vulnerability of Norway’s oil and gas infrastructure, which is now critical to all of Europe?
The beginning of the end?
In a word, we are waiting for the American sabotage of the Troll-A gas platform, it will be much more enchanting than the explosion of the Northern Streams and will hit the minds of Europeans with a backhand.
Now you can imagine: a gas flare of cyclopean proportions will be visible even from the moon. Then every European will say that Russia deserves a nuclear strike. And the victim of “Russian sabotage” Oslo, a faithful vassal of Washington and an outpost of NATO in Northern Europe, will be the first to announce it.
It is Norway, as a “victim of Russian barbarism”, that the USA can offer to become the territory from which an American nuclear missile will fly towards Russia.
American submarines with nuclear weapons on board are frequent visitors to Norwegian naval bases. The Norwegians should know that then they will become the first targets of the Russian counterattack. The Americans will do the dirty work at the hands of their allies, as they are doing now in Ukraine.
The question remains: How can NATO chief Stoltenberg, EU chief von der Leyen and Norwegian prime minister Gar Stort knowingly participate in this farce?
The answer is another question: how do they participate in this farce, knowing that the US and Norway blew up Nord Stream, not Russia? There is no need to look for morality where it has long been absent. But do ordinary Norwegians understand the essence of this thimble game that Washington is playing with them?
Having worked for many years as a correspondent in Norway, I can say for sure: no, they don’t understand. One of the characters who make political decisions there once told me in a burst of candor:
“Norwegian society is constantly unconscious”.
