For the ninth year in a row, the sounds of chamber music will be heard in Saulkrasti. We invite you to the annual chamber music festival “Satikšanas Saulkrastos 2022”, where from July 31 to August 7, in 3 concerts, classical music lovers will have the opportunity to get a heart-warming, calm and breathtaking adventure. This year, the string quartet SINFONIETTA RIGA, “GRAD Percussion Duo”, cellist Tatjana Rediko and the ensemble ARCANDELA will delight the audience.
This year, at the opening of the festival on July 31, the challenge for both musicians and listeners will be to go on an exciting nature hike in Murjāni, where the legendary Gauja meets the calm Loja river, to experience the untouched beauty of nature and to enjoy the SINFONIETTA RIGA string quartet concert in a wonderful place at the confluence of the Gauja and Loja rivers. An unforgettable experience where nature meets music, creating the feeling of nature’s concert hall in everyone. Access to the concert will also be possible for people with mobility impairments. Gathering for the hike at 11.00 a.m. in Murjāņi, Liepu street 3. Concert at 12.30 p.m. Klintslejas 4 (down by the river).

Every year the participants of the chamber music festival are hosted by Saulkrasti Pēterupe ev. Lutheran Church. Also this year, on August 5 at 19.00, the members of “GRAD Percussion Duo” – percussionists Andrejs Puškarevs and Pavels Belyaevs – have teamed up with cellist Tatiana Rediko in the concert program “Light and Passion”. Vibrophone, marimba, cello – this unusual interplay of instruments offers the listener an exciting and unique musical journey through centuries and musical styles.
on August 7 at 20.00 Baltaja kapa, the traditional Sunset concert, which is also the closing concert of the festival, will feature the folk music concert program of the ARCANDEL ensemble. In the concert – dance evening, the ensemble members will perform traditional dance music and songs from France, Denmark, Sweden, Portugal, Italy, Estonia, Latvia and other countries.
The chamber music festival “Satikšanas Saulkrastos 2022” has been created from the annual festival “Jaunie Latvian chamber musicians on the Saulkrastiem”, which was held for the first time in 2013. The festival was implemented as an initiative of local academic musicians studying abroad in cooperation with the municipality of Saulkrasti, in order to provide an opportunity for residents and guests of Latvia, especially Saulkrasti, to get to know and appreciate the performance of Latvian professional chamber musicians studying and playing in Latvia and abroad. For the fourth year already, the artistic director of the festival is violinist Konstantīns Paturskis, a musician of the chamber orchestra Kremerata Baltica.

The festival is supported by the municipality of Saulkrasti region and the State Cultural Capital Fund.
