Banner that says Anies Baswedan For President 2024 at one of the pedestrian crossing bridges (JPO) in the region West Jakarta has been taken down.
This was confirmed by the Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP, Arifin. However, he said that it was not his party who took down the banner.
“It has been taken down. When we wanted to take it down, it was no longer there,” said Arifin when contacted, Tuesday (31/8).
Arifin admitted that he did not know who took down the banner. He also appealed to all parties to comply with the licensing provisions in the installation of banners.
“All banners must still comply with the permit,” he said.
Quoting Detik, a banner was displayed at the Slipi JPO area, West Jakarta, on Monday (30/8).
The banner shows a photo of Anies wearing batik on a white background. Next to the photo, there is a sentence that reads “Anies Baswedan For President 2024.”
The banner also contained the name ‘The Central Executive Board for United People’s Action’. In addition to Anies’ photo, there is the writing of Baldatun Thayyibatun Wa Rabbun Ghafur. Including a photo of a man with the name Drs. H. Achmad Tandjung, who was called the general chairman.
The Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, had previously responded to the appearance of Anies’ banner.
According to Riza, this is the era of democracy. He said people were free to express their aspirations.
“Indeed, this is the era of democracy. People have the right, the same opportunity to convey,” Riza told reporters, Monday (30/8) night.
