“The Anglet Surf Avenue”, on the deck of Les Sables d’Or, will accommodate four additional feet this week. British personalities from the professional circuit Caroline Sarran and Tim Boal will leave their mark there during a ceremony on the sidelines of the Rip Curl Pro Anglet, Thursday August 24 at 11:00 am.
Former members of the Anglet Surf Club, the two champions were among the elite of professional surfing during their careers: in 2007 for Caroline Sarran, in 2008 for Tim Boal. The surfer also returned to her experience at the beginning of the year in an episode of Impact Zone Surf Podcast.
This Angloy surfing “walk-of-fame” already has 19 traces of surfing legends, including those of Kelly Slater, Jérémy Florès, Pauline Ado, Johanne Defay, Michel Bourez, Gerry Lopez, Mick Fanning and Nat Young. The two surfers will therefore leave the 20th and 21st footprints and signatures on the ground, while Claude Olive, mayor of Anglet, will award them the city medal in their capacity as Angloys representatives.
The latest ceremony dates back to last year, when Jérémy Florès left his mark in the concrete of Anglet.
