Authorities are investigating two assaults on commuter trains in The Angels which were videotaped and posted online.
One of the video clips showed a boy inside the subway, raising his arm and hitting the back of the head of a passenger, it reported Tuesday. The second video shows another young man attacking a person coming from behind, then he walks away without much haste.
Another clip showed a similar gesture, when a boy struck a man who appeared to be leaning his head against the train window. The Metro spokesperson, Rick Jager, He told the Times that you can hear a voice in one of the videos screaming: “Let this go viral!”
Jager said that Metro unknown identities of suspects, the date and time of the robberies or what train lines were involved.
“It was almost like he was on the scene, and then the actual assault happened after that,” Jager told the newspaper. “It was quite disturbing. Obviously, we want to get to the bottom of this. “

At least one of the attacked passengers was Asian. Although the reasons for the attack are not very clear, the possibility that it is a hate crime against the Asian population is suspected in relation to a viral challenge.
“That will have to be proven through maybe something someone heard on a train or something the suspects told the victims,” said Blake Chow, deputy chief of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Office of Traffic Services.
In addition, metro authorities say a campaign called “Stop Asian Hate” has been running that includes advertisements on its buses and trains.
