The Seville Cerebral Palsy Association has presented a new solidarity project in which the Angels of Aspace They will make a pilgrimage to Rocío. An initiative framed within the project All Angels Flywith which they have been fulfilling the challenge for people with cerebral palsy to complete the Camino de Santiago for several editions.
As explained José Carlos Blázquez, caretaker of Aspace and founder of All Angels Flythis initiative “arose during the first Camino de Santiago, when the users themselves proposed the idea of why they couldn’t do the Camino del Rocío.” In this way, it was decided to launch All Angels Fly. They make a pilgrimage to Rocío and “what better than to have the Brotherhood of the Rocío de Dos Hermanas«says José Carlos.
With this new action, what “we intend is to enlarge the project with new branches and give the opportunity to users with different degrees of affectation«explains its promoter. In All Angels Fly. They make a pilgrimage to Rocío they will participate 12 personas with cerebral palsy, which will be selected from the different services of the Cerebral Palsy Association.
The Angels of Aspace will make a pilgrimage to Rocío and they will do so from Dos Hermanas, in three stagesalthough They will not spend the night on the roadbut they will return to the center to resume the path the next day at the point where they have finished each stage. The pilgrimage will be days 21, 22 and 23 and people with cerebral palsy will do the journey, as when they do the Camino de Santiago, in Joëlette chairs, carried by supportive people.
The first stage will be Two Sisters for Sale at the Crossingin Puebla del Río; the second will go from the Puebla del Río for Sale Mauroon the Villamanrique road; and the third stage will connect the Raya Real with the village of Rocío. This Friday, the College of Our Lady of Compassion hosted the presentation of this project.
