The Minister of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification of the Andalusian Government, Antonio Sanzhas raised to emergency phase, operational situation 1 of the Andalusian Forest Fire Emergency Plan (Infoca Plan), the forest fire declared this afternoon in the area of Encinarejo reservoir in the municipality of Jaén Andujar.
«This phase has been activated in response to a development that could require the implementation of Measures for the protection of persons and non-forest assets“, the 112 Emergency service posted on its social networks.
For its part, the Infoca Plan has added on its networks that the Government delegate in Jaén, Jesus Staris monitoring the actions of the intervening operatives from the Advanced Command Post.
Emergency services have closed a recreational area near the Encinarejo reservoir as a precaution for safety reasons and to facilitate the work of taking water from the discharges carried out by the Plan Infoca aerial means, as well as the preventive removal of residents from some homes in the area.
