The American Primus is heading to Prague

The band is known, among other things, for composing music for the cult series South Park. It was founded in San Francisco in 1984. In the 1990s, it became a major star in the alternative music scene.

Over the decade, they have released the highly successful albums Frizzle Fry (1990), Sailing the Seas of Cheese (1991), Pork Soda (1993), Tales from the Punchbowl (1995), Brown Album (1997) and Antipop (1999). They started playing all over the world and also performed together with U2, Tool, Jane’s Addiction, Public Enemy or Rush.

The line-up consists of admired bassist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry “Ler” LaLonde and drummer Tim “Herb” Alexander.

As part of a world tour called A Tribute to Kings, they pay tribute to prog-rock legends Rush. The concert will feature both the complete album A Farewell to Kings by Rush from 1977 and the most famous songs from the phenomenal trio Primus. An unusual roughly two-hour musical experience with one of the most exceptional rock bands in history awaits Prague.

Tickets will be on sale from March 25 in the Ticketmaster network.
