The New York Yacht Club will be engaged in the next America’s Cup, in 2024, via the American Magic challenge, which confirmed its participation on Friday. This is the fourth challenger to formalize his presence, after the British from Record Ineos Team UK, the Swiss from Alinghi and the Italians from Luna Rossa.

Last year, American Magic was beaten in the Prada Cup semifinals – which determined who would qualify for the America’s Cup – by Luna Rossa. The latter then qualified for the America’s Cup and was beaten there by Team New Zealand.
