The Amateur Theater Show of Avilés meets its XV edition in 2021, and returns with twelve appointments until November. The first, this Monday, May 17, will be ‘Two mothers-in-law and a destination’, by the local group Santa Bárbara Teatro de Llaranes. It will take place at the Los Canapés Sociocultural Center, at 7:00 p.m.
Organized by the Department of Culture of Avilés, through the Municipal Foundation of Culture and the collaboration of Fetas (Federation of Amateur Theater Groups of the Principality of Asturias), the tickets, free of charge, can be collected on the Thursday prior to each performance, indicating the personal data of each attendee.
There are twelve sessions scheduled, in the months of May and June and, after the summer break, in October and November, including the traditional Final Show Gala, which will take place on Monday, November 29.
After ‘Two Mother-in-Law and a Destination’, you can enjoy the representations of the Asturian companies Baluarte Teatro, with ‘Las Cervantas’; Kumen Theater, with ‘The Comedy of Lies’; La Capacha, with ‘The grass grows in the convent’; Father Coll, with ‘Ai si outside asina!’; Maliayo Teatro, with ‘Antígona’; El Hórreo, with ‘The consultation of doctor Mateo’; Contrast Theater, with ‘Llegó la hora’; Traslluz Teatro, with ‘De tal palu tal estiella’, and the Compañía Asturiana de Comedias, with ‘La venganza de la Xana’. The usual exchange function arrives from Cantabria, from the hand of the Tela Marinera Company, with ‘It’s never too late if …’.
