E-shop Alza.cz warned his customers that his site might not be available for some of them or that he might have blocked it. “An unknown attacker appears on the Internet under the IP address of the Alza.cz website and tries to include our IP address on the so-called ‘blacklists’,” the company writes on its website.
Blacklists are used by ISPs to block traffic from IP addresses that are known, for example, to spread spam or be a source of DDoS attacks. According to the company, the IP address of the Alza.cz website has already been included in some such lists.
“It is very difficult to defend against attacks on this path. Existing defense mechanisms do not work 100%, and in addition, attacks take place outside our infrastructure, and therefore out of our control, “says IT Director Alzy Petr Chlumský.
According to him, the e-shop is now trying to remove its IP address from blacklists again.
