Under the motto “säiä – pflägä – ärntä” the Nidwalden capital invited people to the Älperchilbi 2024 on Sunday, October 20th. “The Älper 2024 sow Ideas, hopes and dreams. Included maintain we our camaraderie and our cohesion. At the Älperchilbi harvest “We thank the ripened fruits and celebrate together,” explains the motto on the website.

Tradition and celebration were the focus of the two days. It started on Sunday, October 20th, with the festive service at 9 a.m. Afterwards, an aperitif took place on the village square and the festival restaurant was also open from 11.30 a.m.
The highlight of the Älperchilbi, the procession with a deduction from the Alps, started at 2 p.m. and led around Stans and back to the center of the village.
At 4 p.m. there was “fir tree climbing” and a festival. And from 6 p.m. the Ländler trio Ennetmooser-Gruess played in the “Älper-Stibli”.
Monday, October 21st, will also be ushered in with a service: the Alpine service for the deceased members of the Alpine Brotherhood. The festivities conclude with the Älpertanz in the Hotel Engel in Stans.
