A common front for the transmission to Parliament of the Supreme Court’s conclusion on the wiretapping and the entire case file, as well as for the summons of the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court G. Adelineformed SYRIZA, PASOK, Pleussi Eleftherias, New Left and KKE, with Zoi Konstantopoulou announcing – through statements she gave from the floor of the Parliament – that five requests will be submitted (as many as the parties) for the convening of the Institutions and Transparency Committee .
“Following my proposal yesterday in the Plenary Session of the Parliament to convene the Committee on Institutions and Transparency of the Parliament and to forward to the Committee the opinion of the prosecutors of the Supreme Court, the elements of the case file referred to in the opinion, the testimonies and any relevant evidence, the unanimous support from the parties that support democracy and transparency was also expressed in the Plenary”, said the president of Plefsis Eleftherias initially.
And he announced that he contacted N. Androulakis, Al. Haritsi, St. Kasselakis and D. Koutsoubas and “everyone compared and agreed that the convening of the Commission and the examination of this scandal is of utmost importance”. “Therefore, following this communication, requests are being submitted at this moment and until the end of the day by the five KOs to the president of the Parliament and the president of the Institutions Committee in order to convene the Committee, to forward the conclusion to the Committee, to the entire case file should be forwarded, the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Ms. Adelinis, should be called before the Commission and be examined by the members of the Commission” he added.

In addition, he pointed out that the requests concern the immediate convening of the Committee, since as K. Tasoulas has announced, the Parliament will remain open until Friday, calling on Mr. Mitsotakis and the government not to delay. In closing, Mrs. Konstantopoulou assured that she will remain in contact with the remaining four political leaders in order to undertake all the initiatives that “democracy dictates”.

After Z. Konstantopoulou’s statements, the official opposition tabled its own request for the convening of the Institutions Committee, calling not only G. Adelinis, but also the Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Ah. Zisi, “in order to inform the opposition parties, but also to give the members of the Commission the complete file of the wiretapping scandal”.
More specifically, SYRIZA requests:
1. The multi-page (300 pages) opinion of the Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Mr. Achilleas Zisi, who conducted the preliminary examination.
2. The relevant order of the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court on “filing the case”.
3. The findings of the Independent Authorities and other bodies, referred to in the announcement of the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Ms. Georgia Adeilini.
It is recalled that earlier a similar request was submitted by the KKE.
