The Alleged Cause of Brain Tumors Experienced by 115 Top High School Alumni in the US

Jakarta

Colonia High School in New Jersey is under investigation for a suspected cancer cluster at the school. This investigation was carried out after more than 100 alumni were reported to have brain tumors.

This case was first investigated by an environmental scientist, Al Lupiano, who is also an alumni of Colonia High School and was diagnosed with the brain tumor. A few years later his wife and sister, who also graduated from the same high school, were diagnosed with a brain tumor.

“One thing that worries me is that there is one real environmental relationship to primary brain tumors, namely ionizing radiation. Not water contamination. Not air. Open from the ground. It’s not something that happens to us because of bad habits,” Lupiano explained in an interview with CBN. News.

Lupiano and these alumni have glioblastoma, a rare type of brain tumor. Glioblastoma or glioblastoma multiforme is a type of malignant brain tumor that attacks the brain or spinal cord.

This tumor is formed from astrocyte cells that function to support the work of nerve cells. Glioblastomas can appear at any age, however, they are more common in older people.

The exact cause of this incident is still a mystery. However, Lupiano had said that this incident had something to do with radiation.
