A 27-year-old young man from Hérault was stabbed in the middle of the street on Valentine’s Day. The suspect was known to the police.
The man suspected of stabbing a French tourist in the neck on Valentine’s Day in New York was arrested and taken into custody, reveals La Dépêche du Midi.
The Montpellier resident was leaving a restaurant with his partner and was suddenly attacked with a knife by an individual who had fled. The victim was operated on urgently for a tracheotomy, his life is not in danger.

After four days on the run, the suspect was arrested, detained and indicted, reports the daily as well as the New-York Post. The New York departmental police had published a wanted notice and quickly identified the assailant.
The wanted man, Khalief Young, 28, was already known to police, including possession of firearms. He was also jailed from 2015 to 2017 for assaulting a store employee in Harlem, not far from the suspect’s place of residence.
