The aliens have not contacted Earth
The new study has now offered a new explanation for why aliens have not visited our planet, because there is no sign of intelligence here.
The researchers said the radio waves reached about 15,000 stars and planets, of the 400 billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy.
Study author Amri Wandel, an astrophysicist at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, wrote in the paper that any returning messages from aliens take time to return.
Early radio signals were not transmitted deep into space
He explained that basically only stars within 50 light-years have time to respond, since Earth began broadcasting deep into space, and not only that, but Earth’s first radio signals weren’t deliberately sent to the universe , which means that it would be difficult for aliens to distinguish them due to the confusion they would be after reaching space for a light year, and it was not until 1974 that we sent the first intentional high-energy transmission to the aliens with the Arecibo message.
However, there have since been plans to send another message in the form of a beacon out into the galaxy, and it will include a drawing of DNA and the solar system, and a diagram of what a male and female look like, but it will also contain much more information on math and basic sciences with respect to the Arecibo message.
And all of this is proof that extraterrestrial life hasn’t had enough time to answer us, the researchers say, that there must be more than 100 million technologically advanced planets in the Milky Way for civilization to have received even one.
His theory is believed to indicate that there are no intelligent aliens within 50 light years of Earth, but this does not rule out their presence somewhere in the universe, the reason could be that they are waiting for Earth’s technological signals to reach them, or that their response is still forthcoming.
It defines the potential for contact as an opportunity to find a nearby civilization close enough to detect the first radiosphere emissions and send a probe to the solar system today, Wandell said.
He added: The probability of actual contact with Earth has been found to be very low, unless civilizations are very abundant, as the radio envelope expands over time, so does the possibility of contact.
