The alert grows and infections are triggered in the Valencian Community: 3,089 new cases of Coronavirus in 24 hours. It is the second highest figure in the entire pandemic. The Valencian Community has registered 3,809 new cases of coronavirus confirmed by PCR test or through antigen tests since the last update, which put the total number of positives at 159,153 people. By provinces, the distribution of new positives is as follows: 415 in Castellón (17,225 in total), 1,355 in Alicante (52,629 in total) and 2,033 in the province of Valencia (89,290 in total).
On the other hand, 58 deaths from coronavirus have been registered since the last update, so the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic is 3,174 people: 405 in the province of Castellón, 1,090 in Alicante and 1,679 in the province of From Valencia.
Valencian hospitals currently have 2,254 people admitted: 177 in the province of Castellón, with 26 patients in ICU; 717 in the province of Alicante, 128 of them in the ICU; and 1,360 in the province of Valencia, 186 of them in the ICU.
In addition, since the last update, 4,288 discharges to patients with coronavirus have been registered. In this way, there are already 149,598 people in the Valencian Community who have overcome the disease since the pandemic began. By province, registrations are distributed as follows: 16,552 in Castellón, 49,510 in Alicante and 83,474 in Valencia.
According to the data recorded, there are currently 17,992 active cases, which represents 10.54% of the total positives.
The total number of tests carried out for the detection of the coronavirus amounts to 2,168,002, of which 1,996,237 have been through PCR and 171,765 through rapid test.
Update of the situation in residences
To date, there are some positive cases in 136 nursing homes (13 in the province of Castellón, 39 in the province of Alicante and 84 in the province of Valencia), 25 centers of functional diversity (4 in the province of Castellón, 9 in the province of Alicante and 12 in the province of Valencia) and 5 centers for minors (1 in the province of Castellón, 2 in the province of Alicante and 2 in the province of Valencia).

Currently, 34 residences are under active health control surveillance in the Valencian Community: 2 in the province of Castellón, 13 in the province of Alicante and 19 in the province of Valencia.
