The Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, said on Friday, in a television speech, that the “Al-Aqsa Flood Battle” is entirely Palestinian and has nothing to do with any regional file.
The Secretary General of Hezbollah added that “there had to be an event that would re-present the issue of occupied Palestine as the first issue in the world, and that was the ‘Al-Aqsa Flood’ operation on October 7.”
He stressed that the decision of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation was “one hundred percent Palestinian, its implementation was one hundred percent Palestinian, and its owners hid it from everyone.”
Hassan Nasrallah attributed this to the fact that “absolute secrecy ensured the brilliant success of the operation through the factor of astonishing surprise,” as he put it.
He said, “The owners of the operation hid it from the Palestinian factions and the resistance axis movements, which were not bothered by its concealment.”
He added, “The Al-Aqsa flood battle is entirely Palestinian, for the sake of Palestine, its files, its issues, and its people, and has no relation to any regional or international file at all.”
Hassan Nasrallah denied that concealing the battle decision would have any negative impact on any resistance movement, and said, “This performance by the brothers in Hamas confirmed the true identity of the battle, and cut off the enemies’ falsification and distortion by talking about the relations of the regional resistance factions.”
He continued: “Usually, when there is a relevant battle in Lebanon or Palestine, they say out of lies and deception that it is to serve Iran and its goals.”
Israel’s weakness
Nasrallah considered that the battle of “Al-Aqsa Flood” established a new historical phase in the battle with Israel, noting that “this great action led to a security, military, political and psychological earthquake on the Israeli entity, and had strategic repercussions that will leave its effects on its present and future.”
He pointed out that the operation revealed many facts, “but the most important point is to show the frailty, weakness and weakness in Israel, and that it is truly weaker than a spider’s web.”
Nasrallah cited, “The American administration, with its president, ministers, and generals, hastened to cling to this entity in order to regain some of its breathing and awareness, and to stand on its feet again to regain the initiative that it has failed to regain so far.”
He continued: “This American speed to embrace and support Israel revealed the failure of this entity. Imagine, from day one, Israel needed the American fleets to come to the Mediterranean for military support and moral support.”
Lebanon Front
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah stressed that “the governments of the Israeli enemy do not learn from their experiences at all, especially from their experiences with the resistance movements in Lebanon and Palestine.”
He added that Israel has never been able to recover its prisoners without an exchange, and stressed that the Israeli government sets goals that it cannot achieve, such as “eliminating” Hamas.
Hassan Nasrallah said that some said, “This speech of mine is intended to announce Hezbollah’s entry into the war, while we have entered the war since October 8.”
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah stressed that what is happening on the southern border of Lebanon has its importance and impact, even “even if some see it as modest.” He said that there is concern about the outbreak of a large-scale war on Israel’s northern front, “and it must take every account of that.”
He stated that “the Lebanon Front was able to attract a third of the Israeli army to the border with Lebanon, and part of these forces are elite and regular forces, and that half of the naval forces are now present in the Mediterranean opposite us and off Haifa, and that a quarter of the air forces are deployed towards us, as well as close to half of the air defense.” .
He added that escalation on the Lebanese front and leading to a wide-scale war was a “realistic possibility,” and warned Israel that it would commit “the greatest foolishness in its history” if it launched a preemptive operation against Lebanon.
He warned, “All possibilities on our Lebanese front are open, and all options are on the table, and we can go to them at any time.”
Hassan Nasrallah stressed that “the matter of the Lebanese front and its escalation in any direction depends on two things: the first is the course of events in Gaza and their development, and the second is the behavior of the enemy (Israel) towards Lebanon.”
He addressed the Americans, saying: “Threats and intimidation against us and the resistance in our region are of no use.” He said that Hezbollah had received a warning from day one that “the American fleets came for you and to bomb you.”
He addressed the United States by saying: “You can stop the aggression against Gaza, because whoever wants to prevent a regional war must hasten to stop the aggression against Gaza.”
Nasrallah’s speech is his first public comments since the outbreak of the war between Hamas and Israel, and coincides with marches called by Hezbollah to commemorate its fighters who fell as a result of clashes with Israeli forces during the past weeks.
Hezbollah clashed with Israeli forces on the border, where 55 of its fighters were killed, in an escalation that witnessed the largest number of losses among the group since its war with Israel in 2006.
Hezbollah said that it carried out 19 simultaneous attacks on Israeli army positions on Thursday, with the use of two explosive drones, in what appears to be the group’s largest attack so far in the conflict that has been ongoing for about 4 weeks.
Israel responded by launching air strikes accompanied by tank and artillery fire as fighting escalated on the border. But with most of the clashes so far limited to the border area, Hezbollah has relied on a small portion of its firepower, with which Nasrallah has threatened Israel for years.
