Airlangga University Hospital in Surabaya, Indonesia, has signed an agreement for medical exchange with Singapore’s Icon Cancer Centre, covering service, education, and research. This agreement is expected to lead to a new era of healthcare for Airlangga University Hospital, as it will be the first hospital in Indonesia to cooperate with Icon Cancer Center. The hospital is supporting the government’s efforts to promote health tourism in the country, with cancer treatment being one of the leading health tourism services carried out by the hospital. RSUA hopes to propose an integrated service system for cancer treatment that allows patients to be treated by doctors from multiple disciplines. The hospital director, Prof. Nasronudin, said that the partnership will be the start of a real exchange between Indonesia and Singapore in cancer care and treatment.
