Young Rosaline and her brother David are the only survivors of the gas explosion. The naïve widow now inherits all of her late husband’s property, much to the displeasure of his relatives. They turn to Poirot and ask him to accuse the girl of bigamy by finding her first husband, Robert, who disappeared in the African jungle.
