Asian Football Confederation (AFC) congratulated Indonesia Under 20 national team who entered the final of the 2023 Asian U-20 Cup.
The Indonesian U-20 national team qualified after beating Vietnam 3-2 in their last Group F match at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya, on Sunday (18/9). The three additional points allowed Marselino Ferdinand and his friends to qualify as group winners after scoring three wins.
“Congratulations, young Garuda!” wrote the AFC on his Instagram account accompanied by a photo of the Indonesian flag.

The AFC’s congratulations received a response from Instagram users across the country. Most netizens appreciated the congratulations made by the AFC to the team created by Shin Tae Yong.
In addition, there were also those who made fun of Vietnam, defeated by the Indonesian Under 20 national team in the final of Group F.
The Indonesian Under-20 national team themselves faced a tough match before making sure they qualify for the 2023 Under-20 Asian Cup.
The Indonesian Under 20 national team managed to take the lead 1-0 thanks to Marselino Ferdinand’s goal in the 60th minute. But Vietnam could draw 1-1 thanks to Muhammad Ferrarri’s own goal just six minutes later.
The team led by Din The Nam even scored 2-1 after Din Xuan Tien broke through Aditya Arya Nugraha’s door. The Indonesian Under 20 national team does not give up until they finally close the game with a victory thanks to goals from Ferarri (82 ‘) and Rabbani Tasnim (85’).
