The AECT Duero-Douro will organize 5 free courses on viticulture in the…

The AECT Duero-Douro as part of its latest training campaign will carry out five courses on viticulture in different municipalities of the province of Zamora. All with the aim of continuing to offer training to the population within one of the activities of the agricultural sector, such as viticulture, in the municipalities of the area.

Morales de Toro y Viñas will host a course on the modernization of vineyard processes. A training in which the participants will expand their knowledge on new trends in vine cultivation, pruning and fertilization among other subjects. This course will last 25 hours.

Morales de Rey It will be the venue where the course on Manual Operations in the Vineyard will be organised. Here the students will learn about the different types of vineyard pruning. The course will have a duration of 30 hours.

For people who are developing organic plantations, they will be able to learn more with the course Organic Viticulture: Approach to Biodynamic Viticulture. People attending this course will be trained in the entire process involved in this type of viticulture, such as conversion, fertilization, pest and vertebrate management, among other aspects. The course will be held at Molacillos and will last 30 hours.

These courses will be held throughout January 2023 in the afternoons and specific dates for each will be announced soon.

The fifth of the formations will enter Moreruela farm and will be dedicated to the Plantation, Multiplication and Propagation of the Vine. The different types of grapevine multiplication, grafting and the different types, such as soil preparation or planting methods, are some of the topics on the agenda. The course will take place in the rural accommodation “Dónde Victor Luna” on January 23, 24, 25, 26, 30 and 31 from 16:00 to 21:00 with a duration of 30 hours.

All courses are face-to-face, free and are intended for people who are dedicated to the cultivation of vines, work in the wine sector or want to start their own project. The only requirement to participate is to be between the ages of 18 and 65 and be of legal age, i.e. not retired or pre-retired..

There are places available for all formations. Registration must be done by calling 923 14 15 04 or by sending an email to [email protected]. The registration period ends next Wednesday, December 21st.

These courses are 80% co-financed by FEADER funds, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Junta de Castilla y León.
