The American artist Simon Curtis discovered a frog in his salad tray, bought in the supermarket! He finally decided to keep her, and to tell his adventures on social networks.

On December 21, Simon Curtis shared to his 53,000 followers on Twitter his improbable find, deep in his salad tray bought a few days earlier : “I found the cutest little frog at the bottom of my romaine lettuce tonight“, writes the American singer.
The animal has since become a true social media star, thanks to the sharing of many photos and publications which day after day retrace the adventures of the singer with his little tree frog.

In a tweet that reveals his discovery, the 35-year-old artist confides wanting release the small amphibian in nature but to wait a bit, given the low temperatures outside who cannot ensure its survival.
While waiting to kick him out, Simon uses his influence on Twitter to seek advice from his followers, on how to to take care of this little green frog, baptized “Tony” ! “Does anyone know what to do to keep him from dying?“, “He’s so adorable I really don’t want him to die. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!“.

The singer then humidified the inside of the tray in plastic in which Tony was still, placing a few salad leaves and a small lid filled with water. When he wakes up the next day, Simon says that the frog had run away ! More fear than harm, the American hastened to reassure its subscribers : Tony was simply perched above a doorway !

To prevent from next runaways, and not being able to leave the little tree frog indefinitely in the plastic tray, Simon Curtis decides the next day to buy him a real vivarium.
After having discussed with a biologist, Simon Curtis makes the decision to keep the little green frog, to which he had become attached. While announcing the happy news to its subscribers on Christmas Eve, the singer also confides with emotion the symbolism behind this adoption : “When I was 10, I was given a 50% chance of surviving leukemia. I just remembered that my favorite stuffed animal, my boyfriend that I kept in the hospital bed with me all the time, was a tree frog…”
