Sukabumi –
Sad news comes from the world of reptile lovers. Alprih Priyono (26), a young man from Mount Quail, Sukabumi city who was a former assistant of Panji Petualang, is reported to have died.
An atmosphere of pain envelops Alprih’s residence. The yellow flag flies in the alley near his house. Mourners came one after another to offer condolences to the families left behind.
Alprih’s mother Iroh (68) said her youngest son died on Sunday (18/12/2022) at around 11:50pm WIB at Syamsudin SH Hospital.
“He died in Bunut (Syamsudin Hospital),” Iroh said when she met him detikjabar at his residence at Gang Brawijaya IV, Gunung Quail District, Sukabumi City, on Tuesday (20/12/2022).
Iroh said Alprih died while rescuing a baby king cobra snake in Gang Lipur. Alprih’s death has left grief among his family and friends.
“It happened (being bitten by snake) not at home, it was a rescue in Gang Lipur. So the residents here already know that Apih (Alprih’s nickname) can catch snakes,” he said.
“His friends were watching the World Cup final (when Alprih made a save), his friends shouted Argentina’s goal and then (Alprih) the snake bit. So the snake was shocked, moreover Alprih he might not be concentrating, so he tapped the snake on his right index finger,” Iroh continued.
He said Alprih was taken to Syamsudin hospital for treatment. However, two hours after the crash, Alprih’s life was not saved.
“The mother was excited (nervous), the hospital asked the family to attend. The mother had not told anyone, when the mother arrived her heart was already pounding. The mother said it hit two times (Alprih) Allahu’s ear Allahu. The mother said ‘Pih who is strong, mother, I don’t want to be left by Apih (Alprih), we promised together.” Apih closed her eyes, her mother thought she was sleeping, apparently she was gone (dead),” Iroh whispered.
Currently, Alprih is buried in Tegal Pari Public Cemetery (TPU), Jalan Gotong Royong, Gunung Quail, Sukabumi City.
