In the NB1 / B class of the Korfball National Championship, on April 22, after a very exciting final, the VSD team became the champion. After the previous youth championship titles, the adult team won a gold medal for the first time, and the value is increased by the fact that they were able to win the title after losing three finals.
In the final, as in the last three times, the opponent was again the team 1908 SZAC Budapest Kvark. After a scoreless first quarter, the machine started, so the scoreboard showed VSD leading 6:3 at halftime.
After the break, the team was able to further increase their advantage, but the extremely prepared opponent equalized at 9:9. However, at that time the golden-handed girls of VSD scored two more goals in the opponent’s corner, so Kvark’s final strike could not delay their destruction.
The final result is 11:10,
