The administrative court rejected part of Grigorova’s complaint about the elections

The administrative court rejected part of Grigorova’s appeal

The Administrative Court of Sofia (ASC) rejected the request to suspend the preliminary implementation of the decision of the Metropolitan Election Commission to appoint a mayor of the capital.

They asked the team of the mayoral candidate Vanya Grigorova the court to stop her opponent Vasil Terziev from running as mayor because of her contesting the results of the vote.

However, the court considered that the applicant did not prove the prerequisites required by law when stating his request for suspension.

The decision can be appealed to the Supreme Administrative Court.

The ASSG is about to schedule the administrative case for consideration in an open session next week.

The complaint of Vanya Grigorova, in her capacity as a candidate for Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, and Ivan Takov Pursuant to Art. 1, paragraph 1 was filed yesterday and, according to the rules, it was sent to the OIC-Stolichna for immediate completion of the administrative file and sending it to the court.

The case returned to the trial court around noon today and the case was immediately set for trial, with the court ruling immediately on the motion to stay the preliminary execution.

Meanwhile The CEC published information according to which, after re-checking the sectional protocols from the second round of local elections on November 5, differences were found. At 60 municipal election commissions, data discrepancies were found between the protocols processed by them and after the re-processing of the same in the computing center of the CEC.

The most common reasons for the differences are unsatisfactory controls, the number of valid and invalid votes, different numbers of ballots found in the boxes – both paper and from the machines, discrepancies in the number of signatures in the voter lists, different factory numbers of the protocols and others.
