Good news for North America, the Adirondack line, linking Montreal to New York, should resume service on April 3, 2023. After a 3-year hiatus, due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the panoramic train crossing the Hudson Valley and the eastern Adirondacks is back! The news was announced on March 10.

A relief for those who wish “experience the great city of New York, the culture of Montreal, or the beauty of the Hudson Valley and Lake Champlain region”, as the president of Amtrak pointed out in his press release.

Remember, in total, this train serves 17 stations over nearly 600 km, and all in a 10-hour trip, from Montreal Central Station to Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station in Manhattan. Greener than plane, bus or car, it offers one of the most scenic train journeys in the world!

The first train from New York is scheduled for April 3 in the morning, and the one from Montreal on April 4 in the morning as well.
