The ADEMA University School will organize the European Congress of Dental Faculties in Palma | Radio Mallorca

The rector of the UIB, Dr. Llorenç Huguet, wishes this congress to be a good example of the transfer of knowledge and experiences in the field of technology.

The ADEMA University School, a center attached to the UIB, has been chosen for the organization of the Congress of the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE) in 2022. This was announced this morning by the directive of this association, which brings together all the universities and dental education institutions in Europe, Dr. Cristina Manzanares, to the Rector of the UIB, Dr. Llorenç Huguet.

Around 500 professionals from the dental sector, from the five continents, will meet in Palma, in the summer of next year, to analyze the latest developments in the sector and the changes in innovation in the educational model in dentistry, the advances the most avant-garde scientists and technologies and the relationship between dental education and other areas of the Health Sciences.

The rector thanked them for this presentation and expressed the wish that this congress be a good example of transfer of knowledge and experiences in the field of technology.

According to the ADEE directive, Dr. Cristina Manzanares, “we have thought about Palma, and specifically about our associate Escuela Universitaria ADEMA-UIB because it carries out intense international activity and is doing a good job in educational and technological innovation” .

Finally, both Dr. Cristina Manzanares and Diego González, conveyed to the rector the “brilliant” moment in which the dentistry sector is found since “technological innovations, where ADEMA-UIB is a world reference in haptic 3D simulators, make of this profession an exciting challenge ”. Advances in digital transformation represent a great opportunity to improve treatments, patient comfort and communication with professionals, said Dr. Manzanares.

From last Monday until next Friday, ADEMA hosts the III Dental Week, International University Week of Dentistry in which docoentes from Universities of Edinburgh, Krakow, Oslo, Dresden, Oporto, Tashkent, Barcelona, ​​Seville, Santiago de Compostela and Murcia participate. .
