The movie Goldilocks is one of the staples of Czech fairy tales and TV holidays. Who does not know catchy songs and a traditional story starring Petr Štěpánek and Jorga Kotrbová. However, the famous actress, who turns 77 next month, has withdrawn into seclusion. According to the CNN website Prima News, she inherited the properties and is insured for the rest of her life.
Actress Jorga Kotrbová was born in Prague and got a peek into the world of film before her fifteenth birthday, when director Karel Kachyňa cast her in the film Trápení. There she played a girl who befriends a wild horse. Her performance was a great success, so it was not surprising that she received an offer from the Vinohrady Theater.
After that, she entered DAMU, worked in the Realistic Theater and the Na zábradlí Theater and also acted in dozens of films. Viewers remembered her thanks to the fairy tale Goldilocks or as a whimsical princess in John the Little King. She also appeared in the comedies The Sufferings of a Young Rich Man or I’ll Be Good, Grandpa! She also established herself in dubbing, dubbing for the Czech audience, for example, the successful French series Fantomas or the popular series MASH
A lesser known fact is that the then beauty at the age of twenty-three, she appeared in the music video Crazy Lovewhere she stood by master Karel Gott.
She last appeared in front of the film camera in the film Death of a Pedophile from 2003 and then withdrew from the film world for good. He no longer plays expensive flights and does not even give any interviews.
Jorga Kotrbová now devotes herself to horses
According to the portal Novinky.cz Kotrbová moved from Prague to the countryside, where she bought a house and enjoys the joys of a satisfied pensioner and grandmother. Server CNN Prima News adds that together with her siblings, she inherited a million-dollar property from her father in restitution and became a co-owner of several apartment buildings in Prague. Thanks to that, she hung up acting, began to fully enjoy life and fulfill her dreams.
Because she loved horses all her life, she bought a ranch in Liberecka, where she moved permanently, and engaged in farming. Her daughter Julie lives there with her family. By the way, she was showjumping. Her second daughter, actress Tamara, also put down roots in the neighboring village.
Kotrbová has three children. She has her first daughter, Tamara, with actor Jiří Novotný. She has a daughter Julia and a son Václav from her five-year marriage with actor Zdenek Žák.
