‘When leaving class’, the mythical Spanish youth fiction broadcast on Telecinco between 1997 and 2002 is back in the news. And it is that twenty-five years after the broadcast of the last episode, number 1,199, some of its most remembered actors have organized a reunion that is exciting some of the most faithful followers of the history of the students of the ‘Siete Robles’ institute. It should be remembered that this series served as a quarry for a large number of young actors such as Leticia Dolera, Elsa Pataky, Alejo Sauras, Hugo Silva or Carmen Morales, among others.
Diana Palazón, who played Miranda Durán in ‘When leaving class’, has been one of those in charge of sharing on social networks the snapshot of the emotional reunion that took place last weekend in Madrid. Among the attendees, Fernando Andina (Mateo Fernández), Mariano Alameda (Iñigo Vidal), Marta Solaz (Violeta Rivelles), Cristina Castaño (Lydia Celada) and Sergio Peris-Mencheta (Daniel Darocca). The unexpected meeting took place shortly before the performance of the play ‘Ladies Football Club’ carried out by Palazón and Andina at Teatros del Canal in the Spanish capital.
“MY PEOPLE. I have nothing more to say, “writes Diana Palazón on her Instagram profile where hundreds of fans of ‘When leaving class’ celebrate this reunion between some of the actors who marked her childhood and adolescence. “What ‘When leaving class’ united, don’t let time separate it. 20 so many years are a breath. Theater and friends, the best possible plan”, says actor Fernando Andina. “What a wonderful photo! You are the same as 20 years ago, suckers!”, Víctor Clavijo, who was also part of the cast, responded.
The last reunion was in 2017
That year, part of the cast of ‘When leaving class’ met to celebrate the twenty years of history of the series. At that time, Leticia Dolera, Raquel Meroño, Víctor Clavijo, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Daniel Huarte, Mariano Alameda, Marta Solaz, Miguel Ángel Muñoz, Ruben OChandiano, Athenea Mata and Cristina Castaño attended. “How happy we were last night! We get together to reminisce about old times and verify that twenty years are nothing and that we are still as young and as thugs as ever. I hope we get together again soon. It has known me a little”, Castaño said at that time.
