While actor Yoo Ah-in (37, real name Um Hong-shik) was accused of drug use and his next works were in an emergency, actor Kim Young-woong (51), who appeared in the Netflix drama ‘The Fool of the End’ with Yoo Ah-in, revealed his miserable feelings.
Kim Young-woong recently expressed on Instagram, “How should I express it? The welcome phone call of the casting news and the heart-fluttering memories of the first shooting are all about to disappear.”
He continued, “Numerous staff members who were like grains of wheat gathered through enduring patience and sacrifice, actors who came together to shine each character, the director who was more eager than anyone else, the writer who did not let go of writing even while struggling with illness, and took charge of production until the end of the set. The production company that managed it”, recalling those who worked hard to complete ‘The Fool of the End’.
As if targeting Yoo Ah-in, who caused the controversy, Kim Young-woong criticized him, saying, “If his misbehavior is true, he is definitely the target of criticism. I have no intention of defending or defending him. Of course, there must be a price.”
He said, “It’s just regretful that the ‘fool of the end’, who was about to be born with the hard work and sacrifice of so many people, won’t see the light of day.” I poured out my heart.
Previously, the National Institute of Scientific Investigation (NFS) recently notified the police that cocaine and ketamine were also detected in Yoo Ah-in’s hair. There are four types of drugs suspected of using Yoo Ah-in: hemp, propofol, cocaine, and ketamine. Cocaine, a central nervous system stimulant, is a drug that causes hallucinations and addiction, and is treated as one of the ‘three major drugs’ along with methamphetamine and heroin. Ketamine, a type of general anesthetic, was designated as a narcotic in 2006.
The police plan to convert Yoo Ah-in into a suspect in violation of the Narcotics Control Act and investigate. Yoo Ah-in, who usually shares his daily life on SNS (social network service), has remained silent since this incident.
Along with the suspicion of Yoo Ah-in’s drug use, the works scheduled to be released this year were also hit by lightning. Yoo Ah-in was about to release a total of three films, including △Netflix drama ‘The Last Fool’ △Netflix movie ‘Competition’ and △movie ‘High Five’.
As ‘The Fool of the End’ and ‘The Match’ have already finished filming and are waiting for release, it seems that the timing of their release will change depending on the results of the police investigation. According to the distributor NEW, ‘High Five’, which was scheduled to be released in the first half of the year, is currently in post-production, and will discuss the release date according to the production process.
Yoo Ah-in is getting off the Netflix drama ‘Hell’ Season 1, which starts filming in June. The role of Jeong Jin-soo, the leader of the Saejinrihoe, which he played in Season 1, is played by actor Kim Seong-cheol.
