Former actor Cesáreo Quezadas, known as Pulgarcito, obtained his release after spending 19 years in the Mérida Social Readaptation Center, where he served his sentence after being accused of rape, reported the director of the penitentiary, Francisco Brito Herrera.
In 2002, ‘Thumbelina’ was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the crimes of rape of his daughter, rape and child pornography, but this March 15 the actor was released, who served a sentence of 18 years, 4 months and 15 days.
The 70-year-old actor will be able to enjoy his freedom again after having been released from prison and assured that on the one hand he feels excited, since he will have the opportunity to live with one of his children, but he feels sad because he leaves a kitten that he adopted and will not be able to take her with him.
One of the most serious accusations that the actor had was made by his second wife, who would have found a video in which Cesáreo Quezadas had sexually abused his daughter, for which she would have denounced and from there the ordeal of ‘Thumbelina’.
In his childhood, he was a movie actor and is remembered mainly for his participation as the boy who gave life to Thumbelina, a film filmed in 1957. The actor was 7 years old and participated in at least 20 other productions.
