Although this season is mostly linked to nominations for important awards, the actor seems to have his mind on his future projects. In a conversation with the ‘Today’ program in Australia, the actor mentioned that he is preparing to, at 69 years old, continue nurturing his career.
“I don’t know how many more movies I’m going to make,” the actor mentioned. “Probably not many. “I want to do things I haven’t done.” In addition, he mentioned that, currently, the industry is about “filmmakers” so he tries to work only “with the best.”
Likewise, he referred to his next appearance on Broadway for Shakespeare’s “Othello“, in which he will play the main character, the same one he had already given life to decades ago, when he was only 22 years old.

“Next, I will play Hannibal. “I’ve also been talking to Steve McQueen about a movie,” he said. “After that, Ryan Coogler is writing a role for me in the next Black Panther.”
Although the company has not yet confirmed this news, the truth is that the unexpected announcement has caused a stir on the internet by fans of the saga. In addition, Washington assured that he will also star in the “Othello” film, as well as “King Lear.” After these projects, as mentioned, he plans to retire from cinema.
