The Malmö-based actor Lars Humble has passed away at the age of 82.
Finished his education at Malmö Scenskola in 1969, he started at Stadsteatern. Where he has, among other things, appeared in leading roles in “My Fair Lady” and “Sound Of Music”. He has also played in “Cabaret” and as Albin in “La Cage aux Folles”. As early as 1970, he played in the American gay play “Boys in the Band” on Intiman
In 2016 he was in Malmö Opera’s production of “Kinky Boots”, Herod in “Jesus Christ Superstar” in 2008 and played the role of Karl Gerhard in “I’ll probably never be invited there again” in 2017.
In 1963 he met John-Olof “Jola” Eriksson and got married in 2006 when it became possible in Sweden. They lived together until her husband’s death last year. The King’s Medal litteris et artibus was awarded to Lars Humble in 2017.
Humble was born on August 14, 1941 at Kungsholmen in Stockholm.
