“Last night you fell asleep for good after a period of illness,” writes Pernilla Wahlgren on her Instagram. The artist states that Hans Wahlgren was surrounded by family and friends.
“I lay on the side with my head against your chest just like I did so many times as a child..! Linus sat next to you and held your hand,” she writes.
The grandson Bianca Ingrosso writes on his Instagram account:
“Our dear Hasse. My beloved grandfather. Our best friend. Our greatest role model. Our safe point. Loved by so many. I proudly tell everyone about you so everyone can get a dose of goodness.”
Voice actor during the 00s
Hans Wahlgren was born in Helsingborg and is the son of the actors Ivar Wahlgren and Nina Scenna, writes Swedish film database.
He was educated at Gösta Terseru’s theater school in the mid-1950s and later at the Dramatens Elevskola. He has been active at several theater stages – Folkteatern in Gothenburg, Oscars, Vasateatern and Folkan in Stockholm.
A younger generation may mainly recognize him as a voice, as during the 90s and 00s he was a voice actor in films such as “Kung Fu Panda”, “Night at the Museum” and “Toy story 2”.
Played against the wife
Among his more notable film roles are “Raggare” from 1959, where he played opposite his wife Christina Schollin, and “Eva – the outcast” from 1969.
Hans Wahlgren was 86 years old and leaves behind his wife Christina Schollin and children Pernilla, Niclas, Peter and Linus Wahlgren.
