The activation and use of MyID.be (the new itsme) is temporarily not possible: “The digital key may still contain vulnerabilities”

“Despite these measures and after subsequent verification, it is possible that the key still contains vulnerabilities,” reports the policy and support of FPS. “MyID.be must now perform further analysis and take the necessary steps to ensure the proper functioning of its services.”

To date, the tool has counted nearly 2,000 activations, according to the government agency. “No incidents have been recorded, but in the meantime myID.be is no longer available to access government applications. The other means of authentication will remain available,” the announcement read.
