Rare animals simpai tortured by a group of people in West Sumatra (Boast). The perpetrators carried out the torture while laughing.
Endangered animal torture simpai it’s viral on social media. This action is known to have occurred in Jorong Aia Mudiak, Nagari Tambangan, X District, Koto, Tanah Datar Regency. That location is the habitat of the hoop.
In the 28-second video, four men are seen trying to catch one simpai on a river bank. They could be heard laughing loudly, when one of them, who was not wearing a shirt, held the animal’s tail.
The animal itself is seen struggling to escape, when its tail is pulled tightly. The rare animal tried to run and fell into the river, but was caught by the perpetrator.
BKSDA and Ditkrimsus Polda West Sumatra (West Sumatra) then looked for the perpetrators. The search got results, the perpetrator was then arrested.
“From the video circulating, we from BKSDA and Ditkrimsus Polda West Sumatra managed to identify the location of the incident and also found the perpetrators,” said West Sumatra BKSDA Forest Ecosystem Controller, Ade Putra, in a conversation with detikcom, Sunday (4/4/2021).
The officers secured the six perpetrators in connection with the torture videos simpai that. The six of them have their respective roles.
The perpetrator with the initials A (17) acted as a video recorder, then there was MR (15) holding Simpai, HF (32) holding a sack, TPT (16) blue batik who witnessed Simpai’s torture, and JM (45) who also stood wearing black t-shirt. Meanwhile, the video was distributed by the perpetrator with the initials RM (18).
“We secure them, we identify and the incident is also reconstructed by the perpetrators witnessed by the village apparatus, jorong, and residents,” he said.
