Islamabad: Maulana Fazalur Rehman, leader of the Pakistani democratic movement, said the shooting against former Pakistani prime minister and leader of the Tehreek-e-Insaf party Imran Khan was a tragedy. Fazalur Rahman also mocked that Imran Khan surpassed Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan in terms of acting. Last Thursday, Imran was discharged from hospital after his leg was injured during the shooting during the political demonstration.
“When I first heard about the Wazirabad episode, I felt sorry for Imran. But now it is understood that it is a drama” – reported Express Tribune citing Fazlur Rahman.
Many were skeptical of Imran’s injury. Did the assailant only fire once? Many doubts arose that both legs were injured.
Bullet fragments were removed from his leg. How does a bullet break into pieces? We have heard of bombs that have exploded into pieces. “Only those who believe blindly can reject Imran’s arguments,” said Fazlur Rahman.
He also asked why Imran Khan, who was injured in the shooting, was taken to the hospital where he was being treated for cancer. He was admitted to Shaukat Khanumba hospital under Imran Khan’s volunteer organization. Fazalur Rehman demanded that Imran, whom he calls the other thieves, become a thief himself and that a detailed investigation into the shooting should be conducted.
Doctors have indicated that Imran needs a few weeks of rest and after that he can be active in political activities.
