The volume of Claims and assistance to businesses managed by Asitur in 2022 it was 4.7% lower than in 2021, 5.8% less than in 2020 and 19.2% below the 2019 record. After three years of decline, however, the accumulated data for the first two months are already pointing towards an increase of 6% in the number of claims compared to the same months last year.
In any case, the figures are still far from those that occurred before the pandemic.
Asitur Focus explains that this decrease is motivated, among other factors, by the closure of businesses: approximately 19% of the dissolved companies in recent years have been businesses, according to the INE.
By province, the greatest decrease in accidents in Commerce over the last three years has corresponded to Barcelona, Girona, Majorca, Guadalajara and Valladolid, all of them with a reduction of over 30% in the volume of claims managed.
