The abandoned castle hides dozens of rare cars. It is not far from us

Some old car graveyards hide unsuspected treasures, and it’s an eternal pity that the signs of aging are sometimes merciless. Fortunately, this is not the case here and the best bits are in the pool.

Looking at the video attached below and our rich gallery, you will probably think the same thing that came to your mind: just a pity that everything is not under a roof somewhere, ideally in an air-conditioned room, with constant humidity and constant care . I think the result would be completely different. And the whole project would certainly pay off in a short time. Many people would like to visit such a classic car museum from around 60 years to the present day. Especially with Scott Chivers as his guide.

Hidden treasures in the castle and underground

He is best known for fixing a broken Ferrari on his YouTube channel Ratarossa. This time, however, he decided to explore an old British mansion with over a hundred dilapidated cars sadly waiting for someone’s attention. The entire video takes place in an abandoned and flood-damaged castle and its extensive surroundings, which serves, among other things, as a warehouse for a vast repertoire of all types of vehicles. Unfortunately, the location of this villa was not disclosed to viewers for safety reasons, nor do we see footage of the building itself.

Chivers says the indoor pool, which is located in the complex, can hold up to dozens of other cars. Unfortunately, we won’t even see the video. However, walking around the area will still provide us with the sight of many wonderful pieces. For example, there are many Jaguar sedans (we are in good old England, remember), several Mercedes and a couple of Jensen Healey convertibles. America is represented by the 1970s Chevrolet C-10 pickup, the first Plymouth Voyager MPV. Fans of Asia would be happy with the Honda Civic or the sleek Subaru Legacy station wagon. With a dented (but still intact) front glass.

Chiverse, an experienced restorer and motoring enthusiast, was particularly interested in several sedans of the aforementioned Jaguar in various stages of decay. He describes in detail every external element typical of this car manufacturer, such as door handles or window lowering control. He also mentions the old spoked wheels that we no longer see on cars. We can’t read much about the vehicle details from the video, they are likely small 1960s sedans, like the Jaguar S-Type.

Chivers couldn’t help but notice a repairable BMW Ti coupe as he walked through the park. He mainly points to the well-preserved interior, minimal corrosion on the bodywork and the overall stability and strength of the car. The condition of the engine is unknown, but at first glance it is certainly a very attractive piece. Chivers was also looking at a Golf GTI, because he already has experience with a similar vehicle. Like the BMW, this GTI has only minor scratches and rust, so restoration is not out of the question. And for dessert, a well-preserved Volvo S90 from the diplomatic service with an immaculate interior was served that would run smoothly today.

The rarest is probably hidden for now

We’ll say goodbye the same way we started – it’s an eternal shame that at least some pieces aren’t under the roof. But who knows, maybe the inside of the house and that mysterious indoor pool hide some real treasures. We’re surprised when Scott Chiver “needs” a sequel. And maybe one day it will also be a museum. After all, it is a short distance from England.
