According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, only the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models will be entitled to the A16 chip, while the standard models will retain the A15 Bionic chip from the iPhone 13.
In a tweet, Kuo said that the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max will use the A16 chip, while the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 will use the A15 chip from the iPhone 13 range.

It would be the first time that Apple has differentiated the standard range from the Pro range in this way. So far it has always used the same chip across the range.
Furthermore, it seems that there will also be substantial differences in the RA sector. Kuo says all four iPhone 14 models will have 6GB of memory, with the standard models using the LPDDR4X version, while the iPhone 14 Pro models will have LPDDR5 memory.
Currently, the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 have 4GB of memory, while the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have 6GB of memory, which has remained unchanged from the iPhone 12 line. LPDDR5 memory in Pro models will be faster and more power efficient than LPDDR4X memory.
However, Kuo’s claim goes against reports from Jeff Pu of Haitong International Securities, who suggested that the ‘iPhone 14 Pro’ models will come with 8GB of RAM, the same amount as the Samsung Galaxy S22s. . That said, Pu has a mixed record when it comes to Apple. For example, he accurately stated that the 16-inch MacBook Pro and iPad Pro would have a mini-LED display, but he was wrong when he predicted a HomePod with 3D sensing cameras in 2019.
