[Zhan Jianjian/Rapporto completo]Another head coach of the World Football Team packs up and leaves! Poland coach Michniewicz (Czeslaw Michniewicz) will step down as national team coach at the end of the year, becoming the ninth national team coach to leave this year’s World Cup in Qatar.

The 52-year-old Michnievic only took charge of Poland in January after the departure of Paulo Sousa, who beat Saudi Arabia 2-0 after a goalless draw with Mexico at this year’s World Cup in Qatar , followed by a 2-0 loss to Argentina, who ended up guiding Poland beyond the group stage of the World Cup for the first time since 1986 after finishing second in Group C.

They then faced defending champions France in the round of 16 and finished the trip to Qatar in a 1–3 defeat.

Polish Football Federation president Cezary Kulesza revealed that Michnievic’s contract will not be renewed after it expires at the end of 2022. Kulesa said in a statement: “On behalf of the PZPN board, we thank Mihnević for his 11 months as As we know, the coach took over at a very difficult time and despite this having qualified for the World Cup and leading the national team to the knockout stages of the World Cup for the first time in 36 years, Mikhnievic deserves our thanks for that.”

Mihnević’s departure is the latest national team manager to step out after several high-profile World Cup coaches retired. Others include the departure of Luis Enrique to Spain following their round of 16 defeat by Morocco.

Portugal manager Fernando Santos was sacked after a quarter-final defeat; in addition, Brazil’s head coach Tite, who had been considered favorites for the title before the game, was eliminated by Croatia in the quarter-finals after leaving the team; and the Belgian side ended Roberto Martinez’s international reign after being knocked out in the group stage.

Holland coach Louis van Gaal, Mexico coach Gerardo Martino and Ghana coaches Otto Addo and South Korea coach Paulo Bento were among others following their World Cup schedule.
