In Hérault, the mystery of the “bloody cave” comes to justice. In the summer of 2014, the body of a man, Patrick Isoird, was found tied up and partially charred in an underground gallery in Sète, a month after his disappearance. Two suspects appear this Monday, January 18 before the assizes in Montpellier: a man, and a young woman accused of complicity. It would have served as bait.
But the problem with this file is that there is no DNA trace. No proof, only heavy suspicion. There was first the suicide of Nadège, in 2009. The day before, she had flirted with Patrick Isoird, a colleague. She confided it to her husband, there was an explanation. Five years later, we find the corpse of Patrick Isoird.
The husband, Rémi Chesne, is implicated. On the side of the victim’s brother, the relationship between Patrick and Nadège is considered little advanced. “They had come closer, but nothing had happened,” says Marc Isoird. “She had relationship problems, on Friday evening she had a party with my brother, the next day we find her hanged“, he says.
Keywords in Rémi Chesne’s phone
This death is too quickly classified as suicide for the family of Nadège and Patrick Isoird. They accuse Rémi Chesne of having killed his wife, and five years later of having killed the one who had seduced Nadège, and who would be at the origin of everything.
“He must have said to himself that everything happened through his fault. He must also have said to himself that he went through once, and that he would pass the second,” thinks Marc Isoird. “He’s a big manipulator. When they are summoned to the cops (sic) they delete their texts. Why ? On his iPhone, we find keywords like ‘cave’, ‘gun’, ‘cartridge’, ‘alibi’. And at the time of the murder, he has his phone switched off, ”recalls the victim’s brother.
Audrey Louvet, accused of complicity, confessed everything to the police. She would have played the role of bait to lure Patrick into the cave, on the orders of Rémi Chesne. The latter continues to deny, hoping to create doubt in the minds of the jurors.
