The 61st year of the Czech Nightingale poll, popular with viewers, is approaching. You can vote for your favorites now until November 12. TV Nova viewers will learn the names of the most popular musical performers in the live broadcast of the gala evening on Friday, November 24. The top of the Czech cultural and social world will present themselves on stage as performers and presenters. So you definitely have something to look forward to.
You can vote for your favorites now at website of the Czech Nightingale, and always for a maximum of six performers in the categories Male Singer, Female Singer, Music Group and Hip Hop and Rap. You can also choose which of the three nominees will become Discovery of the Year. And in a live broadcast, you will then find out who will be the second to enter the nightingale Hall of Fame and who will become the Absolute Nightingale. In addition, one of the voters can win a luxury car.
The audience of Český slavík can once again look forward to the spectacular opening scenes. The theme of this year’s event will be criticism, which was not avoided even at the gala evening of the popularity awards last year. “Last year caused a decent wave, so there is something to draw from. We will start with ourselves and see who else we can fit in,” says singer Ondřej Brzobohatý.
The singer Vojtěch Dyk and the band Chinaski will perform at the gala evening on Friday, November 24, in Prague’s Forum Karlín hall. Singers David Koller and Ben Cristovao are preparing a special joint performance for the Slavić live broadcast. The Czech Nightingale will also pay tribute to the recently deceased hitmaker Vašu Patejdl.
”Preparing the Czech Nightingale is a great responsibility. It has a great tradition and I approach each year with great humility and I believe that this year too we will create a musical festival and not disappoint the audience,” says creative producer and director Pepe Majeský, who will direct the fifth live broadcast Nightingale.
This year, he once again approached the proven pair of presenters Ondřej Sokol and Aleš Háma, who also participate in the script, sometimes with very sharp humor. “Humor is an exaggeration, it’s often on the edge. We don’t want to offend anyone. But I think that this style belongs to show business. I really value people who we poke a little bit at, but they have perspective and don’t take themselves too seriously,” adds Majeský .
The Czech nightingale will also get a new logo and a new visual identity this year. The general partner of Český slavík is Trinity Bank. Granát Turnov, the producer of the prizes, is also a partner of the survey. Academic sculptor Helena Hrabová has been the author of the Czech Nightingale main award since 1996, and last year she added to the nightingale collection the Discovery of the Year, Hall of Fame and Absolute Nightingale awards. The media partner is Rádio Impuls.
Last year, the audience was very interested in the 60th edition of the Czech Nightingale. More than 1.4 million people watched the live broadcast and two million voted in the poll.
