A 50-year-old man has been arrested in Germany for puncturing a total of 1,500 tires on more than 380 cars in Plaid near the German city of Koblenz, DPA reports. The old acquaintance of the police committed the act on Christmas Eve.
Witnesses saw the perpetrator cutting car tires, and the called police officers searched for the alleged perpetrator for almost 3 hours. Around 3:30 a.m., he was caught by a suspect, but he denied involvement.
The arrested man is already known to the police for other criminal offenses, and the damage from his latest act is about 150,000 euros. The motive for the crime is unclear. A court is about to rule on a measure of restraint “detention in custody”.
