The videos are mostly shorter than an hour and uncut – so you get the full scope of the stay. Of course, a video does not replace a trip, that you do yourself, the videos are still entertaining. The Briton Benjamin Rich-Swift, also known as bald and bankrupt is working as a vlogger and author, travels the world and records himself. For me number 1 of the 5 best travel vloggers. He started his YouTube channel because of his vlogger friend Harald Baldr, who traveled with him through India. His most popular videos have been filmed in Moldova, India and Bolivia, and he always finds himself in odd situations. The bald Brit learned Russian in his youth because he had always been interested in Russia and the old Soviet era. His videos offer historical fun facts and plenty of interactions with residents. When he’s not looking for an old Soviet mosaic, he’s probably smuggling a cat from Cuba to the Czech Republic or getting drunk somewhere in Ukraine. And of course everything on tape. His 3.6 million YouTube subscribers say thank you.
Harald Baldr
2nd place of the 5 best travel vloggers: The Norwegian Jens Fredrik Aamodt Jørstadfriend of bald and bankrupt, also known as Harald Baldr, also likes to travel the world filming. When he’s not cleaning one of his metal band shirts in a river, he’s probably swimming in an Amsterdam canal. His videos are characterized by his humor. He doesn’t know any language barriers, if necessary he communicates with hands and feet, as is the case not least in his Nepal— could see vlogs. Simon started his world tour in 2015 and became known through his videos in Jamaica. Super interesting is with the Jamaicans— Videos the connection between Simon and his hosts Chucky and Mokko. Two really likeable people, hersn Sharing love for Jamaica. Highly recommended! Otherwise, I can recommend the video series from Pakistan. Phil Marvin is my insider tip among German-speaking travel vloggers. I know him from a video where he’s in Costa Rica trying to point out to his viewers the mistakes the fearless Kurt Caz is making. Take care, dangerous areas are not counted as such for nothing! Phil Marvin also clarifies financial questions on his channel, such as how work and travel works or how he finances his trips himself. Apart from that, his videos are entertaining and give you a better connection to the countries he shoots in. I didn’t know before his videos that Brazil and Mexico are so beautiful. Definitely a future destination. And therefore the last one on my list of the 5 best travel vloggers.
