Mayor David Zobda welcomes this mythical arrival at Le Lamentin
It is of paramount importance for our city to renew this arrival for several reasons. I consider it an honor to host the last stage of the tour, an honor that consecrates us as the capital city of sport. There is a considerable economic impact. The city of Lamentin, economic capital of Martinique supports the tour. Lamentinoise companies are omnipresent in this major event both with the regional committee and with the clubs. This arrival takes on a spectacular character with an eminently exceptional finishing straight and above all a course which takes shape in the districts of Lamentin, in particular in the heights of Morne Pitault. The completed loop represents a phenomenal popular success. It really is a cycling party at Le Lamentin.
