In the first three stages of the world tour in Debrecen, the “Riga” team is represented by Agnis Čavars, Edgars Krūmiņš, Kārlis Lasmanis, Nauris Miezis and Artūrs Strēlnieks.

In the third stage, “Riga” was placed with the third number and in the quarterfinals with 15:21 acknowledged the superiority of the Serbian team “Liman”. Opponents are assigned the first number in this tournament.

Lasmanis was the most productive with six points, Miezis added five points, but Čavars and Krūmiņš scored two points each.

It has already been reported that “Riga” on Friday in the first match of the subgroup with 21:12 beat the host “Debrecen”, which received the 14th number, but in the second duel with 21:19 won the Slovenian team “Piran”, which was awarded the sixth number.

“Riga” finished the third stage of the World Tour in fifth place, but won the previous tournament. Meanwhile, in the first competition of the season, he capitulated in the semifinals, resulting in third place.

Due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19, the first three stages of this season will take place in Debrecen. The second stage is called the Hungarian “Grand Prix”, and the third – the European “Grand Prix”.

There are still stages in Japan, China and the Middle East in the competition calendar this season, but it is not known whether the competition will actually take place in these regions.

It has already been reported that FIBA ​​has frozen both the 3×3 basketball team and the individual ranking of players until April next year.
