After an entirely digital 2021 edition, the Bron Book Festival, dedicated to contemporary literature, will reinvest this year at the Hippodrome de Parilly from March 8 to 13, with always the same challenge: to give a voice to writers as well as to new feathers. .
For this 36th edition, the Bron Book Festival returns to its classic version and invites us to explore a theme that covers both editorial news and the tone of our time: “Take the risk”.
A choice explained to us by Yann Nicol, the director of the Fête du Livre: “The motive of risk seems very present to us today, not only in the context of the health crisis, but also in our whole relationship with the world, where the question of threat, danger, fear – sometimes irrational – is constantly at work, at the political, ecological, societal level”
A vast theme that relates to the urgency of our time, to the challenges of new generations and which is very present in contemporary literature: “we find these issues in many books which address the notions of courage, audacity, even heroism, and which exalt the idea that life is a risk in itself: leaving one’s country, dying for ideas, falling love, tell the truth and of course write! To live intensely, you have to take the risk. continues Yann Nicol.
